Technical Consultant

Primarily Remote/2 Days in the Office Per Week

Sheffield, London, Dunstable or Durham Offices

Salary of up to £60,000 Dependant on Experience
 

Technical Consultant to join the UK’s Leading Software Services Provider within the Financial sector, focusing on the delivery and deployment of bespoke software to Banks.

The ideal candidate would be experienced delivering enterprise software paired with strong Stakeholder management skills to a senior level.

Some of what you will be doing:

• Planning the implementation and upgrades of pre-existing systems
• Visiting client sites upon request for the installation of new software
• Configuring Databases, Operating Systems, API Gateways and Web/App Servers.
• Introducing and testing Security measures on the system such as TLS
• Working within a systems landscape inclusive of cloud on design focused on performance and stability.

Ideally, your skills and experience will include:

• Experience implementing Enterprise Software.
• Experience managing Stakeholders on project delivery.
• Ability to translate technical data to a non technical audience.
• Knowledge of Operations Support Process.

Technical Experience will include some of the following:

• Oracle DBA
• Middleware
• API’s and API Gateways
• JEE Application Servers such as Jboss or WebSphere
• Unix Solaris Systems Administration
• Linux Red Hat Systems Administration
• Programming Shell such as PERL, Python, Java or SQL.
