The Opportunity
My client, a leading commerce and subscriber management platform, is undergoing a significant period of growth and is looking for a Product Marketing Manager to join their rapidly growing team. Their industry leading CPQ engine drives productivity and profits to their catalogue of Media and Utility/Energy clients, helping them go to market quicker, sell quicker, increase sales, deliver quicker, and improve order accuracy.
The Product Marketing Manager will have ownership of strategic planning and tactical delivery of messaging and content across the business both internally and externally. They will be working across teams to ensure that CloudSense understand their ideal customer profile in-depth and can connect with them efficiently. As Product Marketing leader for Telco, they will target global telecommunications carriers that use Salesforce and their managed service providers and will work closely with the product management team, sales and marketing/business development. This is a truly exciting opportunity to work closely with the company’s Chief Marketing Officer in a highly visible, strategically vital role at a well-funded scale-up and genuine impact on the future success of the business.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with marketing, R&D, Product, and Sales teams to create and manage the product marketing plan
- Build messaging frameworks and content assets that highlight the value of the business’ product in the marketplace
- Gather competitive market intelligence and work with sales and BD teams to differentiate the business to its prospects
- Collaborate with he CMO and other marketing leaders to build demand generation campaigns targeted to key Telco businesses
- Steer product and release launch schedules, acting as an advocate for these products and releases in the marketplace
- Coach the BDR team to deliver product messaging clearly, consistently, and in line with the business’ product marketing plan and messaging framework
- Support BDRs on first meeting with prospects and sales staff with messaging for key proposals
Requirements
- Minimum of 5-years’ experience in a product or proposition marketing role
- Proven experience in B2B marketing within the telco industry
- An understanding of software development and the ability to communicate confidently with technical staff
- Experience working in cross-functional teams and a highly attuned collaborative skillset
- Superb analytical and numerical skillset with a proven ability to extract data and use it as the foundation for fact-based strategy definition
- First-rate written and verbal communication
- SaaS+ Marketing experience (preferred)
