The Company
My client, a well-known manufacturer of organic health and beauty products, is looking for a Lead Trading Manager who can define and deliver their online trading and promotional strategy. They need someone with excellent ecommerce experience who can work in conjunction with several key stakeholders including (but not limited to) Campaign Marketing, Sales, Merchandising, and Operations/Logistics teams.
You will be required to lead the team of Trading Managers to drive sales and maintain competitive within the retail environment while also providing added value promotions and services to customers. You will have overall responsibility for the implementation and monitoring of all web channels, delivering against commercial targets, and maximizing ROIs from media spend.
You will also work closely with the Digital Comms, Marketing, and International teams to deliver onsite exposure and marketing activities within digital channels.
Responsibilities
- Oversee promotional planning, ensuring alignment with relevant stakeholders
- Identify opportunities to increase sales and revenue from our online platforms
- Working with the marketing team, expand the product portfolio and deliver on our shop value proposition
- Take ownership of the promotional calendar for online trading
- Conduct sales and stock forecasting to ensure all orders can be fulfilled
- Work with relevant stakeholders to identify and implement new USPs, keep our online platforms updated, and ensure all messaging is in line with our trade plans
- Optimise the customer journey and maximise product visibility
- Manage P&L for sales forecasting and some specific cost lines
- Produce weekly and monthly trade reports for internal communication
- Deliver D2C commercial plans as outlined in the annual management plan
- Maintain strong working relationships with commercial teams
- Oversee professional development of staff
Skills & Experience
- Outstanding ecommerce experience with a ‘digital first’ approach
- Superb experience working in a Digital/Online Trading position within the retail sector
- Excellent understanding of and direct experience using Google Analytics
- Excellent budget management and forecasting
- Previously coached and developed high performing teams
- Superb attention to detail and accuracy
- First-rate verbal and written communication skills and comfortable managing both internal and external stakeholders
