I have a brilliant opportunity for a Head of engineering who is seeking a new challenge in a fast-paced environment! 

My client is a multi-million funded start-up committed to innovation and dedicated to reimagining the pet insurance market. Based in the heart of London, this client has hired an amazing team of 20 superstars and designed, built, and launched their ground-breaking product in just 12 months.

Due to continued growth plans and mission to become number one in their field, my client is now on the search for a Head of Engineering.

Head of Engineering core responsibility

• Liaise with the cofounders on product vision, hiring plans, and technical direction.
• Work together with the Web and Backend lead engineers.
• Make major contributions to the product as it evolves.
• Organise design and code reviews.

Key skills and requirements

• Track record hiring, mentoring, and leading a large team (20+) of engineers.
• A product thinker who goes beyond just thinking about the code.
• Expert knowledge of at least one modern web-oriented language (Python, Ruby, JavaScript, PHP, etc.) and related web frameworks.
• passionate about solving ambiguous problems, building products, and code craftsmanship.
