Business Intelligence Manager, London (Hybrid)

Salary up to £75k

Business Intelligence Manager required to join a UK based housing company backed by one of the largest real estate investment firms reporting to and supporting the Head of BI. You will be required to take full ownership of the development and delivery of reporting and analytics solutions to wider business and to manage a small team of analysts to drive the overall strategy and roadmap for the business.

You will ultimately be accountable for the design, development and delivery of the BI data warehouse, datasets and reports all in line with business requirements, utilising the Microsoft BI Stack (including SQL Server and Azure, Power BI and other technologies where appropriate). You will be able to deliver key BI solutions in an agile and responsive manner and will have ownership of the delivery of the workstream, supported by your team, on a variety of projects from technical BI support and ad-hoc business queries to large-scale reporting and analytics solutions.

Some of what you will be doing:

• Hands-on development of end-to-end BI solutions
• Capture, interpret and document business requirements for the implementation of BI solutions
• Ownership of the planning, ongoing management, and status reporting of BI projects and workstreams
• Ongoing monitoring and maintenance of the BI platform
• Support in the development of rapid proof of concept solutions for test/learn activities with stakeholders
• Ownership in the design, documentation, and implementation of an overall cloud-based BI solution
• Star Schema design and implementation within both the data warehouse and Power BI dataset
• Provide and support in training and education of business users of all BI solutions

Ideally, your skills and experience will include:

• Utilising the capabilities of the Power BI system
• Experience with designing and delivering of BI and analytics reporting
• Microsoft BI stack (both Azure and SQL Server (on-prem))
• Power BI development experience (data capture, report building and design) – must be able to provide a ‘portfolio’/examples of reports built by the applicant
• Power BI – DAX functions
• Power BI Gateway (on-premise) – setup, monitoring, trouble shooting, and maintenance
• SSRS, SSIS, SSAS, SSMS, SQL
• Excel – Including Power Query and Power Pivot
• Data visualisation (application of best practice)
• Experience of the full report development lifecycle
• Hands-on experience of statistical analysis and its implementation in BI models
• Data Warehouse design and implementation

It would be great if you also had experience with:
