My client is looking for an experienced Release and Test Manager to join their team inLondon. This is a permanent opportunity and the salary on offer is dependent on experience.

Experience required:

• 5 years working in an IT Applications Support or Implementation team
• 3 years experience in designing & documenting test plans and/or release/change management processes and procedures
• 2 years in a management role, with demonstrable experience of managing change and release activity
• Experience of developing and implementing procedures, including configuration and change management systems and procedures.
• Management of virtual teams (Matrix Management) and temporary staff to achieve projects deadlines and objectives.
• Provides advice to users and peers on system function and best practice.

Desirable:

• Experience in PRINCE2 / ITIL methodology.
• Has led the testing phase of at least one large package or bespoke system implementation.
• Definition of test schedules, planning & controlling test resources.

• Highly analytical, with ability to break down complex processes to effective test scenarios & scripts.
• Detail conscious, maintains high level of accuracy in all documentation.
• Proficient in working with process and data flows to understand complex business models.

• Ability to lead, develop and work with multidisciplinary teams.
• Well-developed problem solving skills with tenacity to ensure all issues are resolved.
• Taking innovative approaches to problem solving and devising inventive and creative solutions.
• Able to assess, prioritise and resolve issues with minimum reference to Management.
• Reliable under pressure.
